NVQ

What is NVQ?

NVQ stands for National Vocational Qualification and it represents a person’s ability to carry out their job in the workplace. Many techs have been working in this industry for years with no formal training and it is a way for these techs to prove their abilities to both their employers and clients alike.

Why NVQ?

With the introduction of the Habia Code of Practice, now more than ever, qualifications are essential to continue a career in the nail industry. More and more Local Councils are beginning to operate licensing schemes for both Mobile Nail Techs and salon based techs. Without these NVQ Assessment qualifications many techs may not be able to work in the future.

What Assessments can I achieve at the Lena White Institute of Education?

There are 4 main units on offer for Manicure, Pedicure, Nail Enhancements and Maintenance. These are the 4 basic units that are required for Licensing.
